Hmm.., where should I start. I knew this writing is only a ramble scramble mumbo jambo from a tolol or maybe a jackass co-initiator with Livia. So, for starter, I always believed in the dreams and aspiration for RADAR UMN from the scratch. It had a very good potential to be big and sort of like @bacabarengsdc or @sofaliterasi, a well known communities in the literacy world. Well apply that format but for UMN college students. and RADAR was made. Well, maybe this writing can be a kind memory to remember by in the future if RADAR succeeded or quite the opposite, became the sad memory of a community that did not blossom.
But anyways, in seriousness, today 07/10/2023, rarely did I ever felt kind of happy, joyful, hopeful, even prideful to RADAR UMN. So, for context, today is Saturday and it’s the Malam Puncak Maxima 2023, where all organization, UKM, campus media, and hobbies communities opened up a booth for open recruitment. To REGEN or Regeneration. RADAR UMN also opened up recruitment for Generation 3. Yeah, we are still kind of a new communities in UMN. Still a long way, but it’s capable of became UKM. I believe it, we believe it. Well, actually I don’t know what the other RADAR members thought, but hopefully they also think like that wkwkwk. And the next generation and the next and the next…
Right now, when I wrote this, we didn’t had any real or solid work program for the next year or so. But, me and Livy are talking about it, considering different ideas and approachs. Livy is definetly more perfectionist for damn sure than my lazy ass, while myself were more chilled. An example, maybe this evening we kinda debated an idea for first gathering after the recruitment proses was done. She wanted to have more games, sharing session, and joyful excited energy in the gathering, so the members will be more active to get to know each other more. While me, just wanted the member to just read along, each with their chosen book for about 30 minutes. Then, they can do whatever they want, either get to know each other, talk about their chosen book, while sipping coffee, etc. You see the differences right? Hahahaha, sometimes it’s kinda annoying to butt heads for ideas, but we do have the same vision for the future of RADAR UMN. Which that I’m really thankful for.
Mann.., I really do miss writing dude. You just get to share your feelings in to your own writing. unfilltered, you can write anything for real. Well, back to RADAR, some members, like example Lian, also felt maybe have the same shared vision for RADAR future. This evening, he even kind of shocked me, like with how care he is to RADAR. He gave me a PR plan for RADAR going forward. Like a rough sketch to be improved on. Well maybe, I’m overreacting because of the loud music from Maxima concert, or the freaking mosquitos bite while I wrote this in canteen at 06.38 pm wkwkwk. It’s just wholesome. I knew, RADAR’s path has not always been smooth, especially in Gen 2 which was the worse in my opinion. Not due to the new members that join, but because of the previous BPH that went busy with their own visions, their own activities outside RADAR, the division systems were also bad, and also with this jackass being the co-initiator that cannot make up his mind, cannot planned the work program, cannot manage time, due to magang, class that was quite stressful, and instead giving up on the dream to choose left the grup instead without any communication to Livia or the grup. Just, bad, It was not a good way. Well, it’s in the past and what matter is to learn from that experience. So yeah…, no need to ramble on about the past right? You guys will get bored hehehe :))

What’s in the future for RADAR UMN?
I really do hope and trying to make this communities to at least before I graduated had a foundation. Will become UKM, will have 30 members at least, collaborate with other book communities/library/publishers, will have a somehow impactful event like example Pesta Literasi from Gramedia Pustaka Utama which will contain talkshows, books date/books reading, books launch from our own members, open a booth/tenanth that sells books for our own finances and editor’s launch which will invite editors from Penerbit to help RADAR member’s work/karya.
That’s the hard sketch for the future of RADAR. Hopefully it really does happen in the future. And me, Livy, Lian, Arkan, Devin, Cyintia, and all RADAR’ members do the action towards that shared dreams, and yeah I guess that’s it. Hopefully this writing will get old and when I or we opened it again, it didn’t make us felt miserable, failure, angry to ourself for not trying hard enough to make RADAR a respected UKM in UMN wkwkwk. I wanted this writing to be a reminder. To be an insurance to kept remind us, to make us cry tear of happiness in our heart in the future, and to make us believed in the RADAR UMN dreams.
